I know paying for shipping sucks but it’s the only way I can keep prices low for everyone and make sure I’m not baking the costs of shipping and packaging into my product prices for those that pick up their orders. I also don’t like forcing minimum order value or quantities for free shipping because it forces you to buy more than you need. I like everyone to be able to only buy what they need when they need it. I want you to know you’re always getting a good deal and be happy with your purchase.
With that being said, I did some quick math to determine the optimal order size for you to come out ahead with $10 flat rate shipping.
On average, MBW prices are generally 30% lower than retail prices so you’ll want to order at least $50 or more in products to ensure you’re not overpaying compared to retail and to ensure you’re still saving a few dollars after paying for $10 shipping.
If you’re ordering $100 or more in products, even after paying $10 in shipping on top, you should expect to save $20 or more than retail.
If pickup isn’t an option for you and you still want to make sure you’re getting a good deal when getting the products shipped to your door, a good rule of thumb is to multiply the total cost before shipping by the average discount rate of 30% and make sure it exceeds the $10 shipping charge as that number is a good estimate of what you’re saving.
