Why the prices are changing

Why the prices are changing

Starting in August, all my prices will change from being tax inclusive to the before tax amount.

For almost everyone, the total price you pay at checkout should remain approximately the same as current except for those that live outside of Ontario as the sales tax will vary depending on your province.

I never thought that getting friends and family better deals on Korean and Japanese skincare products would turn into a business. Things are getting more real as I’m now required to start charging sales taxes (e.g 13% HST for all Ontario sales) and remit payments to the CRA.

I intend to keep the total after tax prices at checkout as close to what it currently is as possible so there is little to no impact to everyone. This does mean that my margins will be lower by at least 13% or more as I am now having to pay this to the government.

Some people may think I’m crazy or stupid for not passing the entire costs back to everyone like what other businesses would do.

As I’ve said from day one, I’m hopeful I can continue to work with my suppliers to get better volume discounts to help everyone get a better deal. My next goal is to reach a point where I can offset the added costs of sales taxes. It would mean the world to me if you can keep spreading the word to friends and family as I want to help as many people find great deals as possible. This only works if more people know about me and I am able to buy in larger quantities to continue to keep prices low.

Thanks for trusting and believing in me. It means the world to me 💕
