I hate saying this but eye creams and moisturizers generally don’t have any significant structural differences in formulations. Both work the same except that eye creams are marketed to be superior and targeted for the eye area so it can sell for more in smaller sizes. I don’t believe in it and avoid selling it for this reason.
If you’re already using a thicker moisturizer, pull it all the way up to your eye area. You can use serums to address certain concerns around the eye area as well so no need for eye cream.
There’s one exception is that I do carry the haruharu WONDER Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream as a regular item because I want to help people who have trouble with building tolerance to retinol to have an effective alternative. This eye cream uses bakuchiol, a powerful, plant-based alternative to retinol, to even out skin tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines, speed up skin regeneration, help soothe and heal the skin but doesn’t cause dryness or irritation, and is suitable for sensitive skin.
Although I don't believe in it, I have to say that there are eye creams out there that I think are worth paying for or trying like the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Eye Cream which has a very complex formulation.
